Welcome Principal Dr. Le Lang

LeTasha S. Lang, Ed.D.


Dr. LeTasha S. Lang is a native of Albany, Georgia. She has been an educator since 2004. Prior to becoming an educator, she served as a Counselor in the prison system in Pike County (Georgia) for three years. Her work at the prison system led to her desire and decision to become an educator. She wanted to help shape, mold and develop young minds, thereby aiding them on their journey to becoming productive citizens.


Dr. Lang has served in several roles in three school districts prior to Stewart County. She  served as a parent involvement coordinator, elementary school counselor, middle school counselor, high school counselor, 504/SST Coordinator, Graduation Intervention Specialist, School Wide Test Coordinator, and Assistant Principal for the Fine Arts, Business and Information Technology Academy.


Between the years of 2004 and 2017, Dr. Lang served in the Colquitt County School System (Georgia) in various roles and became a National Board Certified Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor for the state of Georgia. She also served as a Counselor Educator at Albany State University.  Dr. Lang served as a high school counselor and Schoolwide Test Coordinator in the Elbert County School District (Georgia) for two years. 


While serving in diverse roles, she collaborated with and developed professional relationships with teachers, several stakeholders and had an opportunity to positively impact student achievement. In an effort to have a greater impact, she accepted and has fulfilled her most recent role as Assistant Principal for the Fine Arts, Business and Information Technology Academy at Coffee High School in Douglas, Georgia for the last three years. Dr. Lang was an integral part of the team that transformed a traditional high school into an academy format. 


Dr. Lang serves as an adjunct instructor in the Aspiring Assistant Principal Network Program (AAPN) at Tennessee State University for educators pursuing a Masters Degree in Instructional Leadership. She redesigned and created an engaging curriculum for two courses: Curriculum Planning and Instructional Leadership.


Dr. Lang earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Albany State University in 1995. She earned her Master of Counseling Psychology degree from Argosy University in 2004. She also earned her Educational Specialist degree in educational leadership and Doctor of  Education degree in educational leadership from Argosy University in 2008. She is a member of Georgia Association of Educational Leaders, Georgia Association of Curriculum and Instructional Supervisors, Georgia Association of Educators, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
