Stewart County Schools is proud to celebrate fourth grader Tony Adams for his outstanding performance at the Georgia Association of Educators Region 9 Spelling Bee, held at Bainbridge High School on Saturday, February 28, 2026.
Representing the entire Stewart County School District, Tony competed against 24 other top spellers from across the region. The competition featured both challenging spelling rounds and vocabulary rounds, testing not only students’ ability to spell complex words, but also their understanding of word meanings.
Tony demonstrated confidence, preparation, and composure as he advanced through six competitive rounds. His hard work and determination earned him a remarkable 7th place finish out of 25 participants, placing him in the top 10 of the competition.
For a fourth grader to compete at such a high level is an impressive accomplishment. Tony’s achievement reflects his dedication to academic excellence and the strong support of his teachers, school, and family.
