Superintendent
Dr. Shonda Green
Greetings, Stewart County School District!
Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! It is an immense honor to serve as the new Superintendent of Stewart County Schools. In this moment of significant change and boundless possibilities, I am reminded of the words of Nelson Mandela, who stated, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” I truly believe in the essence of that statement as an educator of 32 years and a dedicated public servant. Education is the gift of hope for our youth.
I want to assure you that my top priority is to maintain the fundamental values of improving and strengthening the educational system of the Stewart County community. I pledge to work tirelessly to ensure that the students of Stewart County receive the best possible education in a safe and supportive environment while expanding extracurricular opportunities to further enhance their educational experience. I am excited to join this remarkable community and embark on this important journey together.
Education is a partnership between schools, families, and the community. Together we can create a learning environment where our students are challenged, supported, and inspired. I’m excited to work alongside each of you to help our students grow, thrive, and achieve their dreams. I am eager for us to work together, hand in hand, step by step, with unwavering dedication to give the students of Stewart County excellence by design.
I look forward to listening to your ideas, concerns, and feedback as we work together to build a brighter future for our students. Together we will make Stewart County Schools the best rural school district in the state. Let’s Go Knights!
Sincerely,
Shonda M. Green, Ed.D.
