Stewart County School District Celebrates Continuous Improvements
2025 CCRPI Report
Lumpkin, GA – The Stewart County School District is proud to announce remarkable gains in the 2025 College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI), recently released by the Georgia Department of Education. Overall, the district’s ratings demonstrate significant achievement in academic accountability, specifically among elementary and high school students, while also highlighting areas for targeted improvements.
For 2025, the Stewart County School District has achieved an impressive overall graduation rate of 97.2%. This is a 4.1 percentage points increase from 2024.
Stewart County Elementary School achieved a 49.9 % score in Content Mastery, which is a 7 percentage points increase from 2024. This academic achievement is a representation of students showing gains in each of the content areas that are measured by the End of Grade (EOG) Georgia Milestones Assessment System (GMAS) for English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science.
Stewart County High School achieved a 59.0 % score in Content Mastery which is an 18.1 percentage points increase from 2024. The high school students showed academic gains in each of the content areas that are measured by the End of Course (EOC) Georgia Milestones Assessment System for American Literature, Algebra, Biology, and U.S. History.
Stewart County Elementary School and Stewart County High School achieved remarkable results in the Closing Gaps component of the CCRPI report, with each school receiving a score of 100%, which means each school met or exceeded all of its academic improvement targets in each content area.
Stewart County Middle School achieved a 37.5 % score in Content Mastery. This is a decrease from last year’s Content Mastery of 49.2%. We recognize the opportunities for improvement and are dedicated to providing innovative instructional support to all students to increase student achievement in all areas in the district.
The Georgia Department of Education recently named the recipients of the 2025 Literacy Leader award and the 2025 Math Leader award. We are immensely proud to have Stewart County Elementary School named as a 2025 Literacy Leader school for its exceptional growth in 3rd grade and 5th grade literacy. Additionally, we are immensely proud to have Stewart County High School named as a 2025 Math Leader for its exceptional growth of 36.49 points in mathematics. “We are extremely proud of our staff, students, and parents for their commitment to our continuous improvement as we strive for academic excellence,” said Superintendent Dr. Shonda Moses Green.
